PZL M28 05 aircraft is a perfect platform for different mission scenarios. An example of M28 05 versatility was shown by the US Air Force Special Operations Command during a study called Operation Blood Rain at Eglin Air Force Base, FL.
M28 has been operated in the wake of different emergencies and natural disasters countless times. The aircraft substantially enhanced humanitarian assistance capacity during disaster response operations all over the world.
The M28 short take-off and landing aircraft manufactured at PZL Mielec, has been deployed on heavy cargo ferrying missions in Canada.
At the beginning of 2019, in the Ämari base the Estonian Air Force received the first of the two C-145A aircraft (AFSOC-specific variants of the PZL Mielec M28), which were donated to Estonia as a part of the Excess Defense Articles (EDA) program.
